Take a break from the winter doldrums and join us in the beautiful seaside village of Flagler Beach, Florida.

Situated on the Atlantic Ocean on Florida’s north central east coast, you’ll enjoy the world famous coquina beach amid stunning sunrises and sunsets while immersing yourself in your art and craft.

Enjoy the company of other writers as we gather in the afternoons with Connie May Fowler to discuss that day’s work.

Throughout the week, we’ll host craft discussions and publishing talks, explore our pages, and give readings in a supportive, relaxed environment.

A Typical Day

Morning stroll or perhaps yoga on the beach.

Writing time.

Afternoon walkabouts and/or writing.

Late afternoon sessions.

Early evening sunset gathering.

Dinner in seaside bistro.

If you are not currently in one of Connie’s monthly workshops, you will need to submit five pages of prose—double-spaced, Times New Roman Font, original margins written in Microsoft Word—via an email attachment and send it to inkblossomwriters@gmail.com. If you are a current member of a t monthly workshop, simply let Connie know via email that you are going to attend. The deadline for applying or notifying Connie is January 7, 2026, but we recommend applying early because space is limited.

Tuition (includes retreat, discussions, workshops, readings, and more; lodging is not included): $1500

Early Bird Special: If paid in full by December 10, 2025, reduced tuition: $1300

Nonrefundable deposit DUE UPON ACCEPTANCE: $500

LODGING

Participants have the option of staying at the Compass by Margaritaville Resort located in the heart of Flagler Beach. We have secured a room block with special Retreat pricing. That information will be supplied to applicants upon acceptance into the retreat.

FAQS

What airport do I fly into? We recommend Daytona Beach International Airport, which is about 35 minutes to the hotel by car.

Should I rent a car or can I use a ride share service? Flagler Beach is a very walkable village and a car isn’t a necessity. If you want to rent a car, you can do so at the airport. You can also take a service such a Uber, which currently quotes service between Flagler Beach and the Daytona Airport as between $41 and $56, depending on the size of the vehicle.

What’s the weather like at Flagler Beach in March? The weather in Flagler Beach in March is mildly cool and breezy, with average highs of 74°F (23°C) and lows of 59°F (15°C).

What should I bring? Sunscreen, flip flops, hat, light jacket, walking shoes, bathing suit, laptop, your creative joy.
