Do you have a strong, full draft of your novel but it’s just not fully there yet? Have you exhausted your beta readers? Does your novel need the input of talented writers and an editor who has been in the business for three decades? If so, the Whole Novel Project might be the boost your book needs.
What You Experience in the Whole Novel Project
Limited to four writers with strong manuscripts, the group of four, guided by Connie May Fowler, will read and evaluate the novels.
Project members will meet virtually for a two-day workshop during which each novel is discussed and explored in-depth. By the end of the two days, revision strategies for each novel will be devised.
Project members revise and polish with the goal of having ready-for-publication novels.
Project members read the revised novels and meet for one final two-day workshop to discuss any remaining issues and triumphs. Each member will submit a query letter and submission plan, which the group will discuss in detail.

How to Apply to the Whole Novel Project
Submit a 10-page writing sample and a one-page letter describing the novel. Detail in brief what you believe is working in the novel and what’s not.
Submitted writing samples must be sent as a Microsoft Word email attachment, rendered in 12 point Times New Roman font, default one-inch margins, double-spaced, and paginated. Send your materials here.

Only manuscripts of exceptional potential and merit will be accepted. While four manuscripts is the maximum number accepted, the Project will proceed with fewer if needed.
Whole Novel Project 2025 Tuition
Tuition: $6,000
Non refundable deposit due at the time of acceptance: $1,000
Payment Installment One due April 1, 2025: $2,500
Payment Installment Two due July 1, 2025: $2,500
Writing and bringing a novel into full bloom is a major commitment. Because of that and the intricate nature of the Whole Novel Project, tuition is non refundable. If a project member needs to withdraw, they must do so prior to April 1, 2025.
